Week 18 – ITF W35 Nottingham 2, Great Britain - Hard

Lovely to see Alicia back in, after withdrawing this week

Great that my shout for Edie came good - good luck to her !

I'm assuming her opponent, Demi Tran, is Lian Tran's elder sister?

I havent seen Leticia Romanovas name before. Just noticed that she knocked out the number 14 seed. Playing again today on Court 1 against Annabelle Lammas.

I'll post the draw once the qualifiers have been placed. Gives me time to look up the new rankings biggrin

Toma is in the main draw so I don't think Lammas really defeated her. She has just been shunted through to FQR without having to do anything. Hard to believe there was no other player available. But good luck for her!

This is true, but we can only go by what is posted on the drawsheet.
As an aside, please don't quote the whole list if it isn't really neccesary.

Harry's point though is that you've written:

QR1:- Annabelle Lammas (GBR) UNR/2223 def Maria Toma (ROU) WR789 [Q1] walkover

And you say that's on the drawsheet

But on the ITF draw I'm looking at, there is no sign of Toma, she's removed. So it's wrong to see Annabelle defeated Toma by walkover

(I don't really care, tbh, but I see his point)

However, let's maybe not go down the road of telling people how to post? It didn't work out very well last time, in my opinion, just upset people.

If you wish to point out the downside of posting the whole list, that's one thing. And there's a good argument. But saying "please don't quote the whole list" and actually telling someone what to do is not the same.

I'm disappointed to see Katy drawn to meet Alicia in round 2. I would have liked to see them both go deep here.

Semantics CD. The live scores page says walkover even though Toma isn't shown on the draw.

hardly - when it doesn't say walkover over whom - you can't just attribute a loss to Toma

(PS As said, I don't really care either which way, but I'm just justifying Harry's point as he it was a reasonable one)

Georgiana has just lost

We've got three guaranteed qualifiers - would be nice to get at least one more
