I think this is the first time that either Dani or Edie have ever played an adult doubles match - and they get the win

(Unfortunately at the expense of Megan and Charlotte)

Pleased for them

Good

You expected 4 today and we got 6 biggrin

So, on the 50% more track record, we should get 3 wins tomorrow smile

The more, the merrier

Victoria won by 6-3 6-2

Tegan is *2-1 up in the third set vs the 3rd seed.

Daniella is 3-0* up in the first set vs the 6th seed.

Tegan has had lots of chances to drive the nail home in this third

Was 0-30 up on one game, had 3 (or 4?) BPs on the next opponent service game

Hope she doesn't live to regret it

Dani has taken the first set 6-3

Unlike a lot of our girls, Dani seems to have that nice touch of 'nastiness'

No pity, couldn't care less if the other player suffers

Perfect

As feared, Tegan didn't really have the killer instinct when she was slaughtering her opponent and practically making her cry in the first half of the third set

And then, having given her a chance, the girl threatens to come back and Tegan completely unravelled

Dani had points for 5-2* and *5-3 in the third

A good performance and battle. Like you say CD, Tegan really collapsed after missing all those points for *4-1. Real shame as she had it and just handed it back. But some good tennis today, and Ruby at least gets the job done.

Nice one, Ruby ( 6-3 4-6 6-3 ). I felt a win like that was coming.

Pity Daniella didn't eke our a win ( 6-3 3-6 4-6 ). I didn't see any of it but it would seem that she generally acquitted herself very well on her senior debut.

I do like Ruby's game and she is significantly unranked.
Not sure if the top seed was sufferring from any ill effects from the retirement in the final

If Millie wins her first round match and Lily M wins her next match, then we have a guaranteed finalist in the bottom half of the draw.
