I had a shock when I checked the latest OER WTA rankings this morning to check on Harriet's points. There is a large banner declaring the site will be shutting indefinitely from 15th June and a GO Fund Me appeal is there, based in Australian Dollars. Anyone heard anything about this?
I saw the message. I would really miss OER which I particularly use to see women ranking points splits with drop dates, something the WTA site still ridiculously doesn't show.
I dont use OER, but know it is a valuable resource for many here. So that is a shame if it does close. With Darts Rankings closing recently for tennis, at least (darts still seems up and running), that is another big resource loss.
My other go to resources are LTR and TNNS and both seem to be thriving with ads or subscriptions providing funding (I put up with the odd ad myself) , not sure if OER did that but it may be the way to go
Looks like OER may be carrying on after all - new banner tonight saying the project has been saved due to fans donations.
