This is how it's down on the BJKC website. Is the doubles really 4th?

Tennis Australia shows the doubles as 3rd so I'm going with that. Great news they've finally changed it from the 5th rubber.

The group matches in play all seem to have the doubles as match 3, so I reckon that Tennis Australia is correct.

I dont know what is right or wrong but the BJK Cup site shows doubles as 4th , presumably the BBC followed that

But they are all best of 3 ties, so that doesn't help.

I said BJKC, not BBC.

Mind you the BJKC site shows the doubles as 4th rubber starting day 2 action. Its usually two matches day one and three day two isnt it, to avoid match being all over on day one. So suspect youre correct Wolf and theyve put the list up wrongly, and doubles starts day two as rubber three.

A format change to guarantee doubles as a live rubber being the first match on day 2 was announced a few months ago.

Mika got broken while serving for the match at 7-6(4) *5-3
Now *5-5

Yeah she tightened up understandable but this has been really pretty high quality throughout. She's just had a massive hold for 6-5* after several deuces. Playing really well and going for it from the baseline. Doesn't look intimidated by the occasion at all.

After a marathon game where Mika saved numerous break points and served at least 3 more aces she got over the line and then went on to break again to take the match, A fabulous result!!! worship.gif

Mika 7-6(4) 7-5

And the big, clean hitting takes her over the line 7-5 in set two. Gibson couldn't cope with it and hit too many errors. The consistency of pace and depth from Mika was so, so impressive. Wow.

Harriet loses the first set 4-6, but competitive and fighting hard as always.
