1. Isaac Sallu - won the national under 16 boys singles, entered as a wild card and won the whole thing, without losing a set. Excellent performance and he hails from Ilkley area, so not bad on all fronts

2. Liam Broady - won the Challenger 50 title in Miyazaki (wonder if Lily sent him a congrats message?!) with a win over Harry w in the final; hes third challenger title of his career, first since 2023 and it takes him into the top 250 in the live rankings as of writing. Well done, Liam

3. Daniella Britton - won the 16U National Championships. Won all her matches in two sets, not really breaking a sweat. And then won the 18U National Championships. Did the double. And still only age 15.

4. Sofia Johnson - the 21 yo ex college player significantly stepped up her still very early tour career with a USA W35 title from qualifying, beating WRs 471 and 470 in the SF and final. Takes her to 64 points from 7 counters, to live ranked 671 and GB #24.

5. Mark Ceban - boys 18U national champion. In style. And one year young.

6. BJK Cup team, went to Australia as the underdogs without our top 4 ranked players and shocked the home nation by winning all 3 live rubbers. Mika playing her first BJKC rubber stunned Gibson (WR56) over 200 places above her to get GB going, Harriet leading the team made it 2-0 to end day 1 and Jodie and Harriet playing together for the first time beat Storm and Perez who were, according to the commentary, 5 BJK matches unbeaten without dropping a set prior to give GB the whitewash before the dead rubber.

Definitely a case for giving Mika a separate nomination for what can only be described as an extraordinary BJK debut. Except that would obviously split the vote .
In the meantime I would say that Cam is definitely going to get another nomination for following up his Indian Wells successes with another quarter final in Barcelona, while Julian and  Lloyd in Barcelona and Luke in Munich still going strong in the doubles.

Certainly fair game to nominate someone individually as well as the team they are part of. With 2 1/2 weeks ie half the month to come, anything will be valid, happy to accept whatever nominations come in. If it potentially splits the vote, thats part of the competition.

I used to mess around with semifinals and the like to avoid conflicts in round one, but it still ends up with split votes in the final, so I just let it unfold these days.

Looks like Liam could well need a little upgrade to his entry at the end of the weekend. Even though I did the original, always happy if someone else is willing to have a go when the time is right

As we reach the end of week 3 of 5 reminder that nominations close two weeks today for the April Pom vote.

Remember, anyone can nominate for any reason and from any category of player - singles, doubles, junior, disability, team or individual. And any other category i may have missed - in the past coaches or retired players have received a nod achievements worth noting in the relevant month.

It is Friday again and DF has produced the round up of the weeks progress to date - any of these catch your eye, you know what to do as we enter the back end of week 4 of 5 weeks in this month's PoM nomination process. I see from the list above that Mark and Daniella have had decent weeks, could they be in need of an updated narrative? And members of the BJK Cup Team, are they in need of an individual nomination to put the cat amongst the pigeons

Last week of action this week- nominations will close next Sunday for this months PoM process. Anyone can nominate at any time and for any reason, just add to the list above and provide a narrative to support the nomination. Couldnt be simpler.
