I'd like to see Maia Lumsden in the Play- Offs. She's still only 27, and has been a fixture in the WTA top 100 Doubles list for some time.
I thought she was a very talented player as a youngster; and suspect that it was family circumstances that disrupted her tennis career, more than any lack of ability.
Also, at one point, Freya looked a better prospect for singles than doubles.

Wasnt she (Maia) badly affected by Covid for a long time?
Threre has to be some doubt over Katie Swan's fitness? She retired hurt from Ilkley, and isnt playing at Notts...
And, I dont like to say it, but Heather is GB16, WR490, and 34yo. It's not easy to make a case for her to get a MDWC based on her current form/situation/potential. (Gratitude for past contributions over half of her lifetime to date, yes; and she certainly has earned a retirement gold watch; but... there is definitely a case for giving her a QWC, doubles and mixed MDWC.)
Is Jodie Burrage fit enough for consideration for a QWC? And both Ranah and Ella are significantly younger than some of the other contenders for QWCs.

Sadly there will always be uncertainty of Katie's fitness but she's had a pattern where she's needed a week off after playing back to back tournaments and I don't think Notts was ever likely for her, hopeful she'll be playing (probably Qualies) at Eastbourne
I agree re Heather's form not justifying a wilcard but I still anticipate she could get one final MDWC as a thank you to her (i can't see her playing much longer now she's down so low and wonder if she may retire after Wimbledon at this point)
Jodie doesn't need a QWC because of her protected ranking but the QWCs is hard to call and I'd prefer Ella or Ranah to get one or Marni if she's fit over some others

Even though Jodies protected ranking will get her in I would have thought she would still want a WC so she can save this for other tournaments
I would like to see 4 from playoffs as well, just a shame it's limited to 10 direct entries for the playoffs because Naiktha to Tegan Bush is 18 players even when removing Hannah K, Jodie and Heather with it being the 18 y/os and Tegan who'd miss out based on rankings

I think Allegra, Brooke, Ruby and Tegan would be the leading options for the 2, possibly 3 discretionary wild cards if they didn't get in directly although I wouldn't be surprised knowing the LTA to see youngsters like Megan in the mix for them.

Megan is playing the Giorgio Armani Hurlingham trophy
Which would imply that she doesn't think she'll be in qualis? ANd hence not in the playoffs?
(although, seemingly, Ceban is also playing at the Hurlingham and he's definitely in qualis so that makes no sense to me)
