What happens if she reaches the final, with Sabalanka now being out?]

Surely Chawlinska will get a wildcard now, though I wish she'd gone out, as I like to see as many Brits as possible get wildcards. A French Open finalist though, just bubbling below automatic qualifying - can't see Wimbledon ignoring her.

OK, she can have one now.

Prior to the French Championships Chawlinska had never been ranked in the top 100. Not on the wild card list for Wimbledon a couple of weeks ago.

I think the fact she would be seeded in the main draw is a relevant distinction, and one the AELTC will think about.

If her being seeded pushes Emma out of the seedings, I think there's more chance the other way biggrin

Ha    I actually don't think it will be a factor.

Emma is now live-ranked at 42 - no chance of a seeding this year unless she wins a title before the announcement - she's 180 points adrift of Siniakova #32

would qualifying wildcards for the tournament at Queens or main draw wildcards for Ilkley be seen as more desirable for those hoping for wimbledon wildcards? I'm guessing they can't try qualifying for Queens and get a WC for Ilkley?

I know this isn't technically relevant but just slipping it in here for want of a better home for it...

I wasn't lucky in the ballot but still keen to go on first Monday and Tuesday. I've sourced this link for re-sale tickets ticketsale.wimbledon.com/secured/content and visit it daily (5 times daily) but I have never ever seen a court not show sold out. I'm more than happy to keep refreshing if this is a correct active page, but any clarification would be nice so I know I'm not completely wasting my time! Thanks in advance

You've got to keep checking particularly the week before.
It's also hard to get single tickets if that's what you're after.

thanks, ideally I want 2 but would happily take 1... I fully expect them to be like gold dust - was just wanting some assurance this was a bona fide link! Not seeing one ticket appear in a month was beginning to get a little depressing!

2 is easier. Court 1 also easier than the other courts

also check repeatedly between 10 and 11. They go on all the time but seem to upload the ones returned overnight around 10ish

If they were physical tickets they would probably be gold - they cost enough.

Next year, we need a Wimbledon tickets thread.

An article in The Times Saturday suggests that Serena Williams will be seeking a wildcard into the main draw of the singles at Wimbledon.

Don't worry about it. You weren't the first.
