Race for the Wimbledon wildcards 2026

I've been following the thread in the men's forum and thought we ought to have a similar one for the women. so here are some names to get things started. I haven't had time yet to analyse the points situation as Brittak did in their excellent post, but Pierrot's tables are a good starting point. The ranking bands below refer to the 23/02 tables.

Main draw - direct entry. Emma, Sonay, Katie B, Fran - all currently top 100

Top 200 - Harriet Dart

Top 300 - Mimi, Katie S, Lily, Heather, Mika

Top 400 - Marnie, Naiktha

Top 500 - Jodie, Emily A, Millie R, Vic, Ranah, Ella

Others - Alice, Hannah, Katy D, Esther, Brooke.

There might be one or two others on the radar - Holly Smart ?

Oops, missed her. Now edited.

Surely a QWC at least.

Well last year Hannah, Mika and Mimi got main draw wildcards. No other juniors on the horizon at the level they were last year, so wondering if they will repeat?

She had a main draw one last year

As long as she's healthy, and not losing to really lowly ranked players, she'll get one this year too

As will Mika, for sure

The 18U champion (to be decided in a few weeks) will also get a quali WC

The women will be fairly straight forward due to the lack of depth, unlike the men.
