FWIW , tennis abstract in their current ELO ratings place Sonay as top Brit at 25, with Emma and Katie at 43 and 44 respectively and Fran at 114

Just had a minute to catch up. Saw Fran lost the first set and she has retired at 0-3 in the second. Poor Fran.

R2:- Francesca Jones (GBR) WR93 lost to Jessica Pegula (USA) WR5 [5] 1-6 0-3 retired

Fran has been struggling with a cold apparently. So playing on-form Pegula was always going to be tough.

Muchova found her groove now, Katies serving to stay in the set 2-5. Good game for her though to see how she is progressing.
