BBC sport has a write up on Emma withdrawing  but no menton  of Sonay. There at least 2 other matches where players have withdrawn after the draw was made,

 Yes there is a piece about Sonay in the same article further down. For Sonay back injury didnt recover as hoped so pulled out.Totally understandable and she deserves a rest! Thank goodness ness for Katie B and Fran!

I forgot that the first round starts today (mainly because qualifying is yet to finish). Katie is due on court shortly once the current match on Butch Buchholz finishes. Possibly as early as 7:45pm.

The preceding match has gone to a decider - after over 2 hours. So could well be around 9pm before Katie gets on court.
