RE: Race for the Wimbledon wildcards 2026

Yeah Bu has zero chance despite his sensational form. Would have been very different a decade ago.

But thankfully we have loads of players in the mix, and 5 absolute shoe-ins for the MDWCs (Jake, JPJ, Arthur, Toby, Billy).

Realistically, I feel it's between Dimitrov, Monfils, Wawrinka, Berrettini, Evans, Broady, Gill, Wendelken and Tarvet for the final three.

If I were making the call, I'd give the 3 to Broady, Tarvet and Wendelken (big fan of Felix with his rise and his RGQs exploits, but I think Harry has the better chance of making the most of a decent draw on the grass). But who will the AELTC go for...going to be a very intriguing few days

I agree with the long list (lets add Bu in for fun!) but not the final 3! Not so much who Id give it to as who theyl award them to but for me I expect Evo, Stan and one of the other 3 non Brits - probably Monfils, possibly Berrettini, maybe Dimi.

maybe how players do this week will influence things if someone has a really good run!

I think generally decided on Tuesday and announced on Wednesday. The Q WC play-offs are on Thursday and Friday.

As I said in the Queen's thread I think Harry may be bringing himself into contention for a 7th British MD WC. Basically Harry vs a 2nd non Brit?
