I've been looking at the entry lists on tennisforum. Not sure how reliable the posts there are, but anyway.......
It looks as though Katie is now 2nd alt for the main draw, with Waltert first. Of the 6 above Katie on the entry list, two have made the main draw and two have MDWC.
Qualifying seedings are based on rankings at 23 Feb - some noticeable differences from the entry list.
Without disrespecting, Im always slightly baffled that qualifying means guaranteed wins. Anything could happen on the day, although clearly on ranking Boulter would appear to have a great chance. But she would certainly hope to be in the main draw and has been beating players at the level you would play in the first round or two recently.

Yes, good point that with the 96 player draw and 32 byes, MD R1 at least would probably provide a pretty winnable match.
