Week 8 - ATP 500 - Dubai, UAE (outdoor hard)

Jack at one set all. Lost the first 5-7 then taken a tie breaker, 7-6 in the second. Maybe lacking a bit of zip, but only his third? Match back.

Since when has Arthur had a bomb of a serve?? 14 aces in two sets feels very outside the norm for him

He ranked 9th for ATP tour total aces in 2025. 540 in 54 matches, which I make 10 per match

Yes. Rinderknech isn't known for much else apart from his serve - he's one of those tall, lanky guys who doesn't move particularly well, is often a bit too high up, but uses his levers well, and gets a real pop on his serve.

(As people probably know, and not really relevant to his serve () but Chloe Pacquet is his first cousin, as are Vacherot and Balleret - it's a crazy tennis family)

And Ballerets dad, Bernard Balleret, his step mum Alexai Dechaume, Paquets mum, Virginia.

Judy Murray is just playing at this stuff

Julian and Lloyd lose the opening set 7-6. Not quite working for them yet this season, albeit early days in general and early in this match

Good stuff and another battle between these two pairs!

L and J had the best of their matches at the start of the two pairs, but H and H have got on top in the last couple of matches, incl last week.

Interesting to see where this lands - as ever, I will support H and H but have a feeling this could be the turn of J and L
