4 GB through so far into QF and all avoiding each other. Naiktha is struggling against the good junior
Stusek is not that good
She's in her last year in juniors, age I7, and still only WTA 705
There's been a lot of discussion about her, of course, on the German forums - a lot of expectations that haven't really gone anywhere - but a few stories too that might be the reason why
I like her quirky game, very deft. But it's frustrating ....
Pity - great opportunity this week to progress deep and she beat Kuzmova in straight sets last time out. As CD mentioned, she should be in the mid to late 300s at the moment.

Yes, I think that looks to be her current ability level and where we hope she would be heading up towards during this year ( as I gathered CD meant rather than that she should be in the 300s now, given limited outings, exams etc ). And one match early in the season that has at least shown her still very competitive with a player of that ranking, with her hopefully able to build over coming tournaments.
Actually, I think she should be ranked about 400-420 right now - I think I said 200 places higher than whiere she is, and she was about 620 when i wrote it
And I'm hoping / expecting she'll be about 275-300 at the end of the year
You did - but her prospective ranking (Sheffield points) put her at 590. Bit more consistency needed maybe, but as with Mika and Mimi they're young and it will hopefully come along with more power as they mature.
