 That was the match that first brought Emma to the wider public's attention IIRC.

First time this week the crowd presumably won't be on Emma's side, although her rusty Romanian has been getting better in every on-court interview.

Well, Cirstea's match yesterday was barely more than an hour whereas Emma's was toward 3hrs I think, plus  she needed  the physio on at one point ...... so, a fit Emma could definitely beat Cirstea but it remains to be seen how recovered she is from yesterday. The change of clothes was definitely a good move - those dresses are a ridiculous design - I notice Katy turns the high collar inside  and fiddles with it from time to time. I hope Emma doesn't wear one today, but there may be sponsorship commitments.

Emma so needs a title though. I think she will give it her very best shot. Even though it is a WTA250, a tour title is a tour title and I think will really boost her confidence.
