I'm so pleased for Katie. Last season I started to despair that she couldn't get a string of victories together and wondered if she was begginning to lose focus, hunger and intensity, but I think maybe I was being harsh and that she really still does have the hunger to get back up the rankings. Hopefully this tournament will kick start her season.
It is lovely to see her get to the final and is a great boost to her morale and to her ranking too. It will be fascinating to see how she gets on against Korpatsch - I echo what every else is saying on here - a big well done, Katie and all the best for tomorrow's final.

agree great to see Katie start to play like she can. However the way she started 2026 augured well for her resurgence. A really solid training block in January where from the clips it was pretty clear she meant business and selecting Joyce as her coach was another clear sign of intent. I very nearly put her as number one in the rankings prediction competition just based on that, but chickened out! She is aiming for top 10 though and Joyce was selected as the coach to get her there.
