Gary, where are you?

For the old-timers, about 12 years ago, a businessman called Gary sponsored Marcus Willis a bit and used to post on here a lot .... biggrin

Others may remember his company (indy? paulisi? sheddie?), the name escapes me (A something?)

And Gary was A1 convinced that Marcus could be a top doubles player and the LTA were prejudiced against him (Marcus, that is) and didn't support him as they should - which is why he did

He was a likeable character - a little prickly at times but fun and very pro his man

I do hope he's watching Marcus' match now

Yes he's very much around and following Marcus with enthusiasm.. The company is A1 Pharmaceuticals. Gary supported a team which did very well in National Team Tennis.

 Thanks, Telstar !

I'm thrilled he's still involved, with tennis, and following Marcus

Good on that man biggrin

Yes, Gary was fun and much missed.

Very enthusiastic, rather delusional at times and indeed a bit prickly if you didn't entirely share some of his delusions and / or introduced some facts. To his mind folk were either with or against. That Marcus had huge potential to be much higher ( with the right focus ) was undoubted but Gary would often have him ahead of the curve - eg. that he should have already been in the Davis Cup team

But he was very good for Marcus, and good to hear that he's still around.
