The tie will be played at the Nadderud Arena in Oslo on 5th & 6th February (hope I've got the week number right!). GBR is the seeded team (11), while NOR had the choice of venue. The winner will play Australia (2) or Ecuador in the finals in November. Cam Norrie, Jake Fearnley, Lloyd Glasspool & Julian Cash are also in the squad. GBR leads the head-to-head by 2-0.

Isnt the Australia or Ecuador tie in September to see who qualifies for finals in November?

Do we know who would be at home?
Yes, you're quite right, seagull, my mistake: this week's qualifiers are first round matches & the winners will therefore go through to the second round, scheduled for 18th-20th September, which will decide which teams contest the finals, scheduled for 24th-29th November in Bologna. I don't think we'll know which team gets choice of venue until after this week's matches have been completed.

I think we will be away whoever we play:
Australia - we hosted them in 2015 semis in Glasgow, the year we went on to win the Cup
Ecuador - we hosted them at Wimbledon in 2000 when Arvind Parmar and Tim Henman conjured up a loss to the Lapenttis.
So, if the rules are the same, we would be away to whichever team we play in September. Which isnt ideal. Australia down under in September - similar to the womens team before that! - or Ecuador on clay ?

See my reply - Im sure we will be away to whichever of the two we meet.
From the Beeb's live text commentary on the match:
What is going on with Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool? The Wimbledon champions have fallen apart in that second set and the Norwegian pair have taken full advantage to a force a decider.
All the momentum is with Nicolai Budkov Kjaer and Viktor Durasovic, who as I mentioned earlier, are both ranked outside the world's top 450 in doubles.
I suspect they'd say that it's a different kind of pressure playing for your country & they're not exactly the most seasoned DC performers! Nonetheless, the win puts the tie beyond the Norwegians' reach:
The young Norwegian lad did a shift today for the home fans.
Julian and Lloyd worrying me in Davis cup, played twice now and not been convincing. Indeed- a little worried about their form generally in recent months
