Virtus has been in contact by email this week, but we have not replied yet. We have a solicitor who has an interest in Virtus classifications and has agreed to work on a pro bono basis. So we will wait to see what they come up with before we correspond with Virtus.
At the event there will be Virtus officials who have nothing to do with the ongoing rubbish. The Tennis Director has known Anna since she was quite young and knows that Anna is correctly classified, as she worked with us when Anna completed all the required testing when Anna was 13. So it is all a wait and see process
Out of interest, theres no danger Virtus folks could read these posts?
Yes, there is a danger, as these posts can be picked up through a Google search. However, I have not gone into full details and what I have said has happened and how that has made Anna feel. Organisations like to hide behind secrecy

Agreed, and good for you both for fighting Annas corner.
Well done to Anna and Fab and the rest of Team GB. That sounds like a very challenging weekend, especially with the speedway on top of everything else. Huge admiration to Anna for working her way through it. That was a level of professionalism that many on the main tours would do well to emulate!

Best wishes for the next steps with Virtus.
Thank you very much
The French have been talking this morning and have admitted to some of the GB team that it was a deliberate tactic to put Anna off in the mixed doubles final. Anna can deal with crowd noise very well, so they just made themselves look stupid and unsporting. The speedway was really unexpected. I was impressed that Anna managed to finish those matches. She has developed a determined fighting spirit
Hi Anna's Dad - just wondered (as info is not really out there) what does the rest of the season for Para Tennis look like? Are there any further significant events to come?
And in general, what are Anna's plans for the residual of the year?
Everything is quiet right now. Anna still has a wrist issue on serving, but it is much improved after a tennis rest. She did try to play women's doubles at Ilkley, but her timing was way off from lack of court time. She has had to miss many British Tours and grade 3's, but she wants me to enter her for some upcoming events. The TS Open Tour - Scottish Clay Court Championships (Also a LTA Lexus British Tour Event) 7 Sep to 10 Sep looks like a possibility.
France was talking about a Davis Cup style event at the end of Oct, but I am not sure if this will come off. There is not much time and people are busy.
Anna is busy working as a level 2 tennis coach for her local club and Fife S&L and is doing a lot of volunteering for various charities. She also has plenty of things to attend around the Scottish Disability Sports Panel that she has recently joined.
She does not yet know what to do with the AO, as it would mean missing the first two weeks of term. Also, booking expensive flights and finding she cannot play is not a good place to be.
Virt obviously do not have what they need to get what they want, or they would have kicked her out already. So have pulled a sneaky trick out of the bag re a new test. First they gave us one week to accept a new test, or risk Anna being thrown out mid week at the championships in Poland. So we felt pressured to accept. We only realised another trick they had pulled when they let it slip in their do you know who we are reply to our solicitor. They want to ignore all the evidence we have, (because in our opinion it does not suit them), then put Anna through a new test and put that to two board members as a new application. These board members can't be impartial if there is an agenda. They would have talked about Anna, so not anonymous or fair. They also talked about autism as the cause of difficulties and also that people can improve between 13-22. All the evidence we have seen says that IQ does not change in these years, but some skills can be learnt and improved on. These improved skills help you do things better, but you are still the same distance or more behind other people your age whose skills have improved much more. Also, all of Anna's peers have autism in one form or another and are also more skilled than they were at 13. So it seems that they are prepared to single Anna out, ignore evidence that they could not justify in court and not be truthful about IQ development to the solicitor. By kicking Anna out using a new test only, they could argue in court that everyone agreed to just use the new test only. Also, they have changed the rules recently that someone could get a valid test score and still not be admitted if they can blame autism. That did not apply when Anna was 13 and it also did not apply to all of Anna's peer group, who are just like Anna. It seems they have moved the goal posts so that they can't lose. The involved orgs in the UK are disgusted by the lack of proper fair process and the constant shifting when Virt cannot find a smoking gun. Virt also refuse to provide us with details of the complaint, they refuse to provide evidence other than opinions and are refusing to provide the report written by the so called independent person/friend of the eligibility officer, who was asked to look over the case. They basically said they can chose to send whatever they want in relation to my subject access request. Virt just keep digging the hole deeper.
The precedent is now set. One parent said to Anna, I did not know it was so easy to get someone out. So if a person they know of applies, the parents will band together to get this person kicked out. The real reason is that this person is better at tennis than all the players except Fab and one of them will lose a place at the Global Games in Egypt in 18 months. What a sad world some people live in!
Have you thought about taking this to the press ? (Sorry Im not sure I remember your name) Annas dad? I know a guardian journo well and although he may not be able to take up looking at it, he is good friends with Tum Caryol?
Currently, anything we do has to be cleared through our legal support.
No one can actually do anything until Virt actually make a decision. We feel that they did not want their names on a negative decision that would come back to haunt them later, hence the con trick to get out Anna via another test. I have already told them that they are victimising Anna and we are prepared to fight them legally. We would also be happy to go public.
We need to force them to make a decision with their names on it, then go through the appeals process. After that we can make a stink if it is negative.

Understood- let us know how it develops. By the way, is Virtus now Virt or is that just you shortening it?
