Toby's 3 wins for 14 points so far ( on top of his 15 successive wins for 115 points at the end of last year ) have seen him move up from 2nd to the top of the live race.

Turin, here he comes

Clém seems to have other ideas

Clem playing so well at the moment, while Toby is a bit below his best (perhaps because so much pressure is being put on him). The Frenchman started strong, blasting winners left, right and centre off both wings

Thought this match was going to be done and dusted quickly, and Toby looked down & out when Clem broke midway through the second - belted a ball across two courts in frustration.

But he broke back and then again to take the second set 7-5.

With the tighter games in set 2, I took up an offer of 8/1 against Toby when a set and a break down at 3-6 3-4*.

Unfortunately I held out rather than cash in for a rather nice profit at 3-6 7-5 1-0*

You win some, you lose some ...

Toby and I lost

This time last year this would've been a spectacular tournament for Toby! Now we're a wee bit disappointed so shows how far he's come! Was a MTO 4-1 down in the first not sure why or who for though hope he's fully ok seemed to be given the competitive nature of the match.

So, it all comes down to a shoot-out between the top & second seeds:

Its good to see JoMo returned to form recent months and starting the year strongly.

Fully confident Toby will be having a good season as well.
