Dan was very immature at that age and lacking the professionalism for tennis

Sneaky wee bet on Anton at 5/1 against when he was only *0-2 down in the final set. Didn't quite happen

That, unfortunately, was extremely easy money - the bookies had Anton as slight favourite against Clément - now Anton may be slightly underranked but to actually be favourite? Against Clem? Who is 252 and a decent player? That's taking partisanship a step too far....

Oh, I would never have bet on Anton to win from the start ( well, certainly if he was showing as favourite as you say ) but I thought 5/1 looked decent value at the time and with how it had gone to then.

I never saw fives, but that sounds more like it smile

Clément was 2x at the start (with Anton at 1.8x) on Bet365

And when Clém lost the first set, he was 3x

I didn't leave it all on till the end but it has provided a decent nest egg to now go and blow on whims and fancies

Yep not sure that's the best comparison. Evo's delayed rise up the rankings was in large part down to the lifestyle choices he was making at the time and it sounds as though Henry's issues are somewhat different.

I'm not sure the Dan comparison is a compliment. Andy had his moments but he did reel them in enough to win 3 slams and be world no.1. Although there was at least 2 slam matches he coulda and shoulda won (feathers and spideycam come to mind)

Ive not followed this week very much at all, but see we have 7 men in the last 16, which is not too shoddy even for a CH50 at home.

Toby versus Liam is a very interesting match - I dont know who Id like to win, but Toby probably enters as favourite; a Toby versus JoMo final would also be mouth watering.

Those who followed the Cracked Racquets coverage will have come across Damian Kust, who followed and commented on the challenger tour across the media.

Sadly he passed away today after a short illness following a liver transplant.
