Toby leads the way. Arthur and Harriet both also have received one this month.
With 16 qualified for PoS after 8 months, we are tracking a lot higher than past years, from memory. With 4 months left, it is quite possible we will end up with more than a further 12 qualifiers by the end of December through further PoM votes, British number ones, and wild cards.
Let's see if we still hit 28 qualifiers eventually but my instinct is - particularly as I want to ensure wild cards have more allocated to them this year - we will be looking at a 32 player field this year. Which is no bad thing.
32 would give the option to have 4 groups of 8, with 12 (3 from each group into two groups of 6) going to semis and 4 (2 from each group of 6 into one final group) to the final. My temptation is to introduce a further round but I suspect it will draw the voting process out too long and water it down a little
With Fran winning her 8th PoM award, these are our most successful players in terms of PoM awards over the 6 1/2 years I have been running it:
8- Fran Jones 6 - Sonay Kartal 4 - Cam Norrie, Dan Evans, Henry Patten, Mika Stojsavljevic 3 - Billy Harris, Emma Raducanu, Hannah Klugman, Katie Swan, Toby Samuel
A number of players are on 2 titles

September - Nominations close Sunday 27th September or possibly up to Tuesday 29th September if players still in the two Chinese ATP events that week in Chengdu and Hangzhou. Vote to be held Sun 27th/Tues 29th Sept
October - Nominations close Sunday 1st November - close of ATP events in Vienna and Basle, and WTA in Tokyo and Guangzhou. Vote to be held Sun 1st Nov/ Tues 3rd Nov
November - Nominations close Sunday 29th November - end of Davis Cup Finals weekend, WTA events only at 125 level. Vote to be held Sun 29th Nov/Tues 1st Dec
December - Nominations close Sunday 20th December - I will exclude Xmas week in ITF (there are currently M15 events in Bali and M15/W15 in Antalya that week - although maybe one or two Brits will play, I think December PoM and subsequent PoS can continue without them!!) so I can get the December vote in before Xmas. Vote to be held Sun 20th Dec/ Tues 22nd Dec
Player of Season process will then start, aim is to run that as follows:
Wild Card Nominations - Will open Tues 1st December and close Sunday 20th December
Wild Card Vote - to run Sunday 27th December to Wednesday 30th December, to allow for more than one round of votes
Player of the Season Votes:
Round One - Sat 2nd Jan to Mon 4th Jan Semis - Tues 5th Jan to Thurs 7th Jan Final - Friday 8th Jan to Sunday 10th Jan
This will therefore wrap it all up a week before Aussie Open, and just before qualies starts, whereas last season we overlapped.

One useful suggestion from the recent survey of views on the PoM and PoS process covered how people value the nominations and narrative process for PoM nominations and would welcome narratives to support the PoS process.
In total, I anticipate 28 to 32 PoS qualifiers this year. We will have a clearer idea early December and know for certain just after Xmas.
I like the idea of narratives but it will be a lot of work for one person and I'll need to outsource the writing up process AND also put a limit on how many words people write - as things could get over produced if we aren't careful and also v inconsistent.
We have 17 qualifiers so far, per the list in the post above. After September is completed, that will probably increase slightly. When we have the updated list after September PoM voting has finished, I'm going to ask for volunteers to take on the narrative writing. I'll post a list and ask people to say which they are willing to do. The important thing to note is that these narratives will need to be written in December, when players seasons are largely over.
I'll see how many people step forward between end September and end November - if we don't get full coverage, ie all players with someone willing to do their write up, then I'll abandon the idea, but let's see how it goes.
People willing to support the process can put their hand up for multiple players, in fact that will be necessary.
Knowing how these things go, I reckon each person willing to get involved will need to put their hands up to write 5/6 narratives each; if we have 6 people willing to get involved, including me, that should give us circa 28/32 nominees in total.
So don't put your hands up for involvement unless youre willing to take on that workload! No need to jump yet - list of names to follow in a week or twos time.

As we close on the end of month 9 - 3/4 mark in the PoM year - the nominations leaderboard looks like this:
Name Total
Alfie Hewett 5
Toby Samuel 5
Henry Patten 4
Sofia Johnson 4
Alicia Dudeney 3
Anna McBride 3
Arthur Fery 3
Harriet Dart 3
Henry Searle 3
Jan Choinski 3
Maia Lumsden 3
Neal Skupski 3
If I recall correctly, Cam topped this list with 6 last season, possibility one of these could equal or beat his tally
In the titles race, titles this week for Millie R, Clarice O, and Grace W suddenly make the leaderboard look very interesting. Quite possible one of these may reach double figures
Name Titles
Alicia Dudeney 8
Amelia Rajecki 7
Finn Murgett 7
Charles Broom 6
Clarice Ouvarova 6
Freya Christie 6
Daniella Britton 5
David Stevenson 5
Grace Watson 5
Henry Patten 5
Maia Lumsden 5
Tom Hands 5

Yes, I agree these titles after the week beginning 14/09.
A further 2 titles for Clarice and 1 for Finn from the past week have seen these rwo join Alicia on 8 titles. I'm waiting optimistically for Luke's ATP 250 doubles final before posting the week 38 titles list.

Ah, indeed, I just realised you had only posted to week 38 titles (I was away this past week and not paying lots of attention!).
Also, v interesting to see those week 39 titles and to see that list when it comes out - makes this v interesting. Clarice is on a roll!
