Looks as if there have been quite a few late withdrawals. Katy is seeded Q3 from Q15 on the entry list.

Kubka won the W50 in Italy last week, beating Mimi in the SF

However she follows Ruby and takes the second set and so is into the deciding set.

Just the one break in the match so far, to Katy early in the second set. The tall (5'11") Kubka has a big first serve, but otherwise isn't that impressive and I don't know how she managed to win the W50 last week.

It is more about keeping Katy fit and match fit now.
We know she has the ability to get close to her CH with a full injury free season.
