Naomi broke back. Too double faults in that game helped Cavaday, both players have hit 6 doubles although they are also capable of hitting aces.

Bad service game from Cavaday her first serve is all over the place and her second serve is being attacked. She doesn't look to be at her best when returning the ball so she cannot afford so many loose service games.

In the second set Naomi served just 38% of first serves in and won just 33% of points on the first serve. The serve is meant to be an asset for her I don't know what has gone wrong but it must improve.

Much better, Naomi served well in first game and Lykina is still throwing in a lot of doubles, she is now up to 10.

Four unforced errors form the Briton going for too much on the first shot of the rally. Lykina moves a lot better than Cavaday and I think Naomi thinks she has to hit a very good shot to get the ball past Lykina whereas the Russian just needs a decent shot.

The quality of the match has increased substantially with Cavaday getting involved in good rallys and hitting winners. Lykina is really struggling on her serve.

Excellent, just to compond Lykina's misery she was foot faulted in the first point. Good strong returning, a 12th double fault and Cavaday is serving for the match.

Unpredictable game and a good win for Cavaday as Lykina has a lot going for her. I think the decisive factor was the wretched serving of the Russian in the third set but credit to Cavaday for starting the set strongly after the disapointing second set and for recognising the weekness in her opponent and punishing it.
