But Mika has fought back; second set tie break which she takes 7-4 and into the final set. Great fight!
From an early break down, she broke twice in the second set to serve for the set at *5-4 ( broken to 15 ) but clearly kept going well to take the set in the TB.
That was such a great learning match for Mika. Vera hit with not too much power but such great depth and angles. For Mika to win she had to earn every point by hitting with quality and reproduce and reproduce again for a whole match in what is probably energy sapping conditions. She did this absolutely perfectly from *0-3 to *5-4 in the second set. But you need to absolutely 100% on it for match after match if you want to get to the top. It's all about mentality.

The way Vera played what I expected and what I hoped would happen. As a lesson for Mika it could not have turned out better i.e. defeat included. A win against a faded star would not have been a great lesson. A defeat by relentless well-placed shots will do her so much good ..
