Mimi lost to Kayla, she also lost to her earlier this year.

Mimi should never have got broken at 4-4 in the second set

She was 40-0 up, no problems, but made a few UEs and let an important game slip, which was a shame, as that second set was very close

I thought it was closer than I thought it would be. Mimi had her chances. Just needs a bit more competition around these high 100, low 200 players. Good week for her though. She arrived early straight from Slovakia to the snow! Obviously she adapted quickly which augurs well for her next full year on the tour. She will have a few points to drop early in 2026 from the tournament she played in Thailand. Dont think she will be able to defend these as she has her United Cup commitments. Then I wonder if she will stay in Oz for Brisbane again followed by Japan? Also will she play the clay court swing, which she dodged last year. Interesting times. Take your time Mimi. Keep healthy.

She may not get to play, but the United Cup carries ranking points, up to 500 for an unbeaten winner.
