Mimi has done well this week - if she won the tournament here, then I think she would have enough points to make the Aussie Open (323), so huge incentive for her. It's been a good season of progress for her, anyway, and it is worth remembering how young she still is, so every match will still be a learning experience.

Yes - also interesting for her to see the path of another junior and the blips
Sofia has only just turned 20 and used to be #2 in the world in juniors - and has had a lot of pressure and stuff heaped on her by the press for being a 'disappointment' (in effect)
Which I guess Mimi's win yesterday will just exacerbate (but that's not Mimi's fault )
But she's just getting it together now - very up and down but at least now finally breaking properly into the top-200
Good for Mimi to see these paths, and how others deal with it
Mimi loses the first set 6-4 having been 3-0 up. This could be a close second set. Mimis serve is under pressure though. Kayla is on a pretty good run of form, so Mimi is doing well to stick with her. All part of the learning curve, good she has some stronger opposition in this tournament.
