 Yes, two very good looking wins there. I remarked a few months ago that he seemed to finding the transition to seniors a bit tough. This is very encouraging.

 I'd be pretty sure it's Charlie given both the ATP and ITF sites have him as a proper Charlie.

 Interestingly, Tennis Abstract had put Matt as a close favourite to win this match above and also the next one. Which surprised me.

 I beg to differ. Just because the French feller won, does not mean the projection that Sumdog was favourite was wrong. That fails to appreciate the beauty inherent in probability.

Yes, seems a little unfair after a 7-6, 7-6 outcome to pronounce the assessment as "proved wrong"

I feared the worst when Jay dropped that second set & almost let slip a 5-2 lead in the decider as he served for it!
