 Interestingly, Tennis Abstract had put Matt as a close favourite to win this match above and also the next one. Which surprised me. 

And proved wrong, although it was v tight still

 I beg to differ. Just because the French feller won, does not mean the projection that Sumdog was favourite was wrong. That fails to appreciate the beauty inherent in probability.

 Well according to the drawsheet

Giles partner had a right wrist issue.

Summers partner is listed as Stomach issue

Frydrych Is listed as Left Ankle.
