Two outstanding months for both Mimi and Mika but on this occasion I decided to go out on a limb a vote for shear persistence against all the odds and numerous setbacks to achieve the best result of her career. She was one of the players from when I started commenting and copying results across 18 years ago, on first the Greg Rusedski pages and now the Andy Murray pages so I am voting for Emily Webley-Smith. It may be the only chance we will get to vote her after her many years of playing for GBR.

Great stuff, thanks Peter.
We have 14 votes in so far, spread quite wide so far and 8 players have those votes. So lots of opinion out there!
I will put scores on the doors this evening when I post the confirmation of the vote closing time for tomorrow evening
Difficult to decide between Mika and Mimi. In the end given not only her singles achievements this month but also her doubles championships, went for Mimi!
I am really pleased for Ryan, for his continued work coming back and now winning a title
I was very impressed with Brooke Black in Australia
And with Jans rise up the rankings
Harrys win from Lucky Loser was astonishing
Wrexhams field was unfortunately that of a W50 and well done to Mimi in winning it
Cams form was OK and got lucky against Carlitos in my view
But the 3 who made the most impact on me this month were:
Harriet whose form seemed to come back from out of nowhere, as she won the best title of her career
Emily who reached a WTA Final that nobody would have thought possible (a win would have surely made her cast iron certainty)
and my vote which goes to Mika Stojsavljevic who had such a sustained level throughout the month but who, now I have been able to watch her play in BBC high resolution for the first time, has really made impact on me with her level of play at such a young age, and who with the necessary luck everyone needs has the ability to go very high indeed

And she had a great month - I often wonder if, because she is a year or so older, she gets overlooked compared to Mika and Hannah whilst being a massive prospect still?

Good analysis!! Although you ended up at a different place to me, I get your thought process!

I don't really think Mimi gets overlooked, and she hasn't been this month. For me being over a year older, and with more senior experience, is surely a consideration though.
