He did pull out

And Machac also which means two lucky losers spots at this stage. Bublik may well also pull out, having lost today

And only 4 qualifiers - one more withdrawal and they dont need to play the fina round of qualies? Other than for a few ranking points? Bublik most likely to withdraw? But Jan looks like he has a strong chance of being in, one way or another.

Next year the week 45 events wont count towards the race for that year - the race ends at Paris

The events will count towards the race for the following year ie effectively start the race before the tour finals take place.

I agree stopping at Paris, totally good idea. But not sure why these events even need to be in the race for the next year at all, although presumably all the challengers at the end of the season also count towards the following years race?

Jan's FQR opponent got in as a lucky loser & drew van Assche!

Jan 5-4*. Was 1-3 down but had 2 bp for a 5-3 lead.

A win tonight for Cam would go a long way to securing AO seeding. He would be up to 31 in the live rankings with only 3 players able to overtake him. With Rune definitely out he only needs to be 33.

Great effort by Jan though.

Jan has Lyon and Bergamo indoor events on his schedule coming up, hopefully keep this form through the end of the season.

Apparently, FAA has withdrawn from here - leaving it in Musetti's hands to get the points he needs in Athens to qualify above him.

Maybe he knows if Djoko is planning to withdraw from the Tour Finals?
