Mimi has 312 points now, with a live ranking of 233, so with 5 Aussie wildcards, she is close to making the cut right now. I would also like to see one more win for her, to definitively seal this, but she is very close right now - some great results for her lately and a great end of season.
Mimi lost in the semi final so is stuck this week on 312 points. The cut off for AO 2025 qualifying was 226.
She is entered for the W35 in Egypt next week hoping for some more points. There are so many variables that are unknown
at the moment (eg players with SR in MD and QD and who will have to withdraw for any reason). Best of luck Mimi.
Mimi pulls out of Egypt and Tunisia , season over for her.
Interesting choice by Mimi at this time. It looks like she will have to.play very well to get anything from the WTA 125 but then a R1 win would be 15 points, more than she'd get for a SF in the W35.
I can't find any WTA125 tournaments on 15th or 22nd Dec but there is one in Australia on Dec 30th that Mimi might try.
From what others are saying, the cut off in terms of ranking points for qualification to the Aussie Open is 22 December, so hopefully if Mimi gets another win at Limoges on Monday or Tuesday, then she can have Christmas off and put an Aussie qualifying date in her diary. She is up against a Pole, Klimovicova, ranked 145 in the WTA 125 event in Limoges, so tough for her, but a big incentive for her to win there.
Lily's lowest counter appears to be 5 points - just by entering Angers she has replaced that with a whole 6 points ! One more win is worth 15 points, two wins for 27 points which might be enough .......
Yes, but she surely won't get the 6 qualifying points when she's got a bye straight through qualifying?
correct, she only receives main draw points
Lily has risen by one point to 297 points in the official WTA rankings so apparently has been awarded 6 points (net 1) for her 'qualification'
Not absolutely clear since the WTA site of course quite ridiculously doesn't have a public breakdown of players' points and I'm not currently getting her match activity to show.
In the bigger picture of Aus Open Q of course no real help as she is left at WR 247 at 08/12 which looks just a very outside chance of being enough

Yes, the pdf shows 6 points added. Its not the first time the WTA have applied ranking points not knowing their own rules.
Section VIII-B-2-c-i clearly states Qualifiers who have not played a match in the Qualifying Draw and advance to the Main Draw will receive only Main Draw points.
Does anyone know when the Australian Open main draw entry list will appear. I was expecting it today, but then wondered if the entries for the qualifying draw have another 2 weeks to get points, that the 2 may be published simultaneously?
Both Coric and OER show Lily on 296 points with Angers as a 1 point non-counter.
It's not the first time that the WTA site doeesn't show the match activity on a Monday. Perhaps it will show later today when their system fully updates (some hope !)
I agree on qualies for Katie - given how the year ended, it would be nice to get some matches under her belt early to build the confidence. Is there any update on the new coach?
