Tessa may be top seed but she is a pretty up and down player too - she's young, never did much in juniors, has played nearly every week recenlty and has had some good wins - and some poor losses

Interesting because Ruby was the one I thought might have a chance of winning. She will of course now get smashed off the court.
Ruby takes a very even first set 7-6(5). Did well after being broken when serving for it earlier on.
Amelie thankfully got on the board very near the end but it was a bit of a pasting.
Tessa has a far heavier weight of shot but makes some daft errors - and her drop shots are a weird go-to play - I think she's won one or two but lost a whole load, when there were easier options
As half-expected, and definitely hoped for, Tessa had some real ups and downs in that match, and completely lost heart in the last game, making closing it out very nice for Ruby
Ruby played a tidy, neat game - she has good fluidity, and hits through the ball well
A super result for her - great for the nay-sayers
And the Tegan believers should maybe shift their 'lurve' to the Ruby camp

Ruby's previous best win was over Alice WR736 at Nottingham in April 2024, when she went on to beat Ella WR1072. Those two have certainly moved up since then !
