It just goes from bad to worse, doesn't it. She has had a horrible season - seldom able to string two wins together and her ranking is suffering badly.

I hope she can come through this and get back up the rankings, but no question that this season has been a disaster. I really feel for her; after the last couple of seasons: I was really hoping she could push on again and improve in the rankings and get into or near the top 16 It all feels a long way from that right now.

I missed the actual retirement, but I think it was injury. Both players had a thigh strapped throughout the match, but were moving well. Katie did make quite a lot of errors, but it was pretty competitive.

 Katie is 99 in the live rankings so may hang on in the top 100 depending on how well others just below her do over the next few days.

It doesn't say very much though. The official drawsheet says left leg injury.

Well Biijana, her coach, came back at the weekend, so i wouldnt be suprised to see Katie return.
If she is fit and needs the points for Aus, she could enter Dubai 100k.
