Just watching a little I am impressed by Ruby's movement. A real scamperer!

A very long game but Ruby gets another one back, 4-5*. Some awful unforced errors from Lily.

Lily takes it 6-4 in the third. Quite a contest. Looks like Ruby played up, Lily played down, and they just about met in the middle.

I watched a few games here and there. Ruby was very impressive, and unlucky not to win and collect the 12 points for a ranking.

Great win for Mimi. The other girl ran out of gas.

Well done to Mimi.

Of course they'll get on the wrong side at times but I'd trust the main bookies' thoughts on a winner more than most pundits. It's their business to try and be accurate.

Well done Mimi. Much better third set. Quite a bit of pressure on those young Welsh shoulders playing in Wrexham but she came through really well.

I believe Indianna is giving the top seed sonething to think about.
Mika is up against a girl with a huge serve and goes after the return, but not much else to write home about.

As i said on the Birmingham thread, i would give an update on Mika having seen her again.

Big serve and an excellent return of service. She isnt the biggest hitter of groundstrokes, but she times the ball really well and she is so accurate with her shots, depth and lines.

She is the best player i have seen this week and she is very capable of winning the tournament.

In fact, i'll go out on a limb and say she will be top 100 before the end of next season.

Thanks, paulisi, very interesting. That's quite a limb but it should certainly at least be great to watch Mika's ongoing progress.

Next stop for Mika, another meeting wirh Marni.

Lily and Jessika have played 6 times before with 3 wins apiece, Lily winning the last two meetings in 3 sets.
