Week 42 - ITF W35 Quebec City, Canada - Indoor Hard

Fabulous to see Esther having some success at W35 level after being very consistent in W15s. Onwards!

Yes, both will now already be pushing well into the top 600 in the rankings.

With them, and Alicia D, the GB women have got a big boost from the US college system this year

Well done Victoria, is this a break out week? I know the name but not much about her career to date

Esther lost 4 and 1; good week though.

Good luck Victoria, in the final.

Highly rated at juniors, but injury prone

She got up to about JR 60 but that was largely due to success in South Africa and always under-performed at Junior Wimbly and Roehampton, from recollection, which meant she never was one of the top shout juniors

She's got quite a quirky style now - she's been on livestream quite a lot this year so you'll probably have picked up on some of it - obviously something that developed at college as it wasn't really her style beforehand
