Pity, especially after winning the final so decisively last week against the same opponent ( who tbf was the #2 seed here and WR 266, 19 yo JCH 10 and has already had a senior CH of 134 last year, so if anywhere near her best no doubt pretty good ). But yes it's been a lot of matches even if most have been relatively short ones.
Just for now, hope Katie remains pretty fit and well ( clearly competed to the end even if the MTO was for her ), enjoys her week off from competing, and onward to Darwin.
no idea what Katie's targets are but, these 2 weeks take here up to circa 170 points which is half what she'd need for French Open qualies ..... if she stays fit that seems like a good, if tough, goal

No idea what Katie's targets are either. But if you read back in this thread, you'll see that the French Open isn't the first Slam qualifying that some of us have been contemplating about. While, some have been rather more cautious.
Health and fitness first of course, and it will be what it will be, but folk have just been considering the possibilities.
Tbh, if she stays relatively fit and well, I don't see French Open qualifying as that tough a goal with her ability. Looks as if she may need about 300 points in total ( as for the Aus Open )

She collected about 60 points from her last two W35s, so another ten W35s unless she can pick up a faster rate of return on higher level events.

Sorry, I meant 300 total ranking points by these stages, of which Katie has now banked 174. So 'just' 126 more points to reach 300 ( 171 of these 174 points will still be counting by the French Open Q cut-off date ).
