Well done to Marcus and Partner, - I fell asleep towards the end unfortunately though.

Wasnt expecting a Marcus win after I saw who they got drawn against a shame Ebden had an injury but sometimes a bit of luck is what you need!

i love Marcus. They just won the first set and I'm going to stay up and see it through; but they have already cheered me up a bit after a dreadful day for Raducanu close followers

Oh, I forgot it was three sets, I might not stay the distance.

Glad they cheered up your day, Julia biggrin

I didn't see any, I'm an hour ahead at the moment, but I was thrilled to see the result when I got up this morning

And off to see if I can find some highlights

This is my favourite (and only) sort of doubles - random people who are complete outsiders, or not really doubles players, and whom I like

Great result (and, yes, sorry for Matt, but he's a proper doubles player so I'd never support him anyway

As of this morning, Marcus is up to live 82, his CH is 81.

Theres a lot could shift around that, but it shows the value of grand slam wins versus plugging away in challengers.

OUCH !

Harri and Henry just lost

They had the second set TB absolutely in their pocket at the end - but gave it away

And then lost the third set too

Third seeds put out in R1

Dont like saying it but a 100 percent round record seems quite possible

I wonder if Henry paid the full fine to Wimbledon.

I dont think Ive ever seen Harri and Henry play so poorly- lack lustre! So many double faults- particularly from Harri. Another pair bites the dust!

Ouch. 14 double faults today. And only one break point. Which is one more than Julian and Lloyd had. Tennis is a funny old game.

Disappointing as well. So just 3 pairs left with British representation. Onwards.

Harri seems upbeat in his blog and has already flown back to Finland; some comments he makes like he and Henry even managed to smile and they had a rare upbeat feel coming into the match do make me wonder. It feels like Harri is trying to give the impression all will be alright but things arent quite right at the moment in the pairing.

I dont know, reading between lines is hard. The Asian and indoor swing should suit them, as well as Lloyd and Julian and Neal and Joe, with fast courts generally and some big events at 500, 1000 and then the Tour Finals. Lots to play for and we will see 5 doubles Brits in Turin despite the disappointing US Open. 5 feels like an all time high and over quarter of the overall field.
