Venus is playing with Leylah.

I hope Emily App gets in. Harriet and Poots..that's an interesting pairing.

I hadn't appreciated that the US Open had changed doubles entry criteria with eight places for onsite entries. Making it even harder for doubles players. Don't like the idea of players scrabbling to form partnerships the day of the draw. OK for mixed, not for doubles, imo.

Is it this which has also delayed the publication of any entry lists - they dont seem to be anywhere that I have searched?

Although I recall the Wimbledon ones being very late in the day just before the draw as well?

I've also been looking around for the entry lists (without success) - I was hoping to find out who were on the alternates list and if Emily A stood a chance. I'll keep looking !

I think the last on-site entry was Detiuc/Pridankina with a CR of 158 - Emily and Isabelle are CR161

To me CR 158 is quite low. It's often the 140s.

Emily and Isabelle were in Cleveland, so I'm assuming they are now in New York, although I haven't seen anything to confirm it in the last few days.

Yeah the decision to split the entries basically made no difference. The 8 in site entries were pretty much the players who were first out of the advance entries.

Some very long games but Maia and Makoto drop the opening set 3-6.

As an aside for those who dont have Sky or Now TV, Emma is out on Practice court 2 with Roig working on her forehand. Very interesting! Search practice schedule US Open.
