The mid October regionals must be coming around next week. Lambda must be on holiday as theyve not been here the past week or so. Hopefully will be back to give us the regionals low down!
From what I can see, in the mens events - Hugo Coquelin went out in the last 8 in the Ohio Regional; Billy Blaydes at the same stage in the Southern regional
Womens - I cant see any Brits who have got to that stage in the events that have started, but I may have missed some.
I hope Lambda is ok, hes been missing 9 days now and its very unlike him not to check in at some point - maybe he is on holiday but it is still unlike his normal pattern, particularly when there is college action taking place.
I know I tend to worry about these things more than most, but I am a little worried we haven't seen Lambda around for a while. He may well be on holiday but he is a big follower of college tennis and there are the October regionals currently in play and it seems strange we havent had anything from him - it is 11 days now
If Lambda is out there anonymously, let us know you are ok.
As per Lambda above, youll see the list shows Savannah Dada-Mascoll is in womens singles and Henry Jefferson mens doubles.
A further 26 singles and 13 doubles pairs qualify for the ongoing regionals. Ill need to check in more detail, or maybe Lambda will reappear before(!), but at this point, the first few regionals dont appear to have produced a British qualifier. They continue through this weekend, though, and Kristina Paskauskas is one win away from her place from the Southern Regionals.
Congratulations to Kristina Paskauskas who is the Southern region co-champion and qualifies for the NCAAs.
She also made the semi-finals in doubles
Great to see she got to the final and is into the NCAA field. Just two players in singles so far, both women. And one mens doubles. Feels less successful so far than last year?

As we get down to the business end we have our first male NCAAs singles qualifier
Luca Pow (Wake Forest) reaches the final of the Carolina region and qualifies for singles at the NCAAs. Having achieved the objective of qualifying he conceded the final.
Alex Okonkwo (Ohio State) is in the doubles final against his Ohio State team mates. Max Relic (Utah) is also in the doubles final Louis Bowden (Baylor) is the last male still playing singles, at the QF stage and Luc Koenig as top seed is still in doubles at the QF stage
For the women we're left with Isabelle Lacy (Virginia) and Erin Pearce (Vanderbilt) at the doubles semi-final stage and Savannah (Appalachian State) in the QF of singles. Savannah of course has already qualified for the NCAA so is playing for the Carolina regional title. Her region is among the strongest of the women's regions as it includes UNC, NC State, Duke and South Carolina.
