Cam seems happy with where he is at, good to hear. From the BBC
A heart-to-heart with his team followed. The collective conclusion was the group needed to lighten up a little, vowing to enjoy life on tour more again.
Since then, Norrie has reached the French Open fourth round - where he lost to Djokovic - and the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
Even another defeat by Djokovic did not leave him overly disappointed, given where he found himself earlier this year.
"It has been fun - I wouldn't change anything in this tournament," said Norrie.
"There is so much to smile about."
Djokovic's level was pretty high last night and Norrie played well generally. I would agree, much to be happy about over the year from his poor form prior.
Fearnley's serving and shoulder more a worry now for Smith. The week off will be good for him to reset and hopefully if he's in the squad, the DC may provide the shield to straighten out that serve.

Typical that he should wait until the match against Cam to turn it on! I suppose his first two slightly dodgy matches helped him get back in better shape.
Djoko is currently the 3rd oldest player in the top 500. That he is ranked 6th is remarkarkable. I think some individuals are just lucky with the ageing process and also lucky with how quickly their bodies' recover from the pounding they take. I don't get the impression that JD's career will be anything like as long. Dan at 35 is the 15th oldest in the top 500, so any significant resurgence is unlikely. I'd so love him to have one last hurrah!
Riedi and Struff make it two qualifiers into last 16. Machac looking good and not lost a set to get here.
And to think that our Oli Tarvet beat Riedi very handsomely in R1 at Wimbledon
(And Hamish came pretty close to beating him too in qualis)
Mind you, as said, I like young Riedi - especially now he seems to be getting over his 'little prince' phase
Always root for him (in a neutral match )
I watched Riedl's Wimbledon FQR match vs Hamish.
Hamish played pretty well but I was distinctly unimpressed by Riedl on Roehampton grass that day. Though tbf he had been out for 9 months after last year's US Open and just one tournament in May prior to the grass season.

Yes - he wasn't great - and wasn't that great against Oli Tarvet either - thankfully
I partly root for him because he was always the second guy - after Dominic Stricker. i.e. they were the two young guns in Switzerland but Riedi was always the little tagalong, with Dom taking the main attention
And then he was so unlucky with injuries, hence being out for that length of time, as you say - knee surgeries, I think it was
And also, now, is WR 435 - but has made the last 16 - amazing story
Well done FAA in getting to the semis - 4 hrs 10 mins for a 4 set win over AdM.
Felix's 2nd Slam SF following the 2021 US Open.
Alex's 6th Slam QF and 6th loss ( one by w/o ), having reached the QF in 5 of the last 7 Slams. His 5 on-court defeats have been to Thiem ( US Open 2020 ) and recent ones to Zverev, Draper, Sinner, and Auger-A with this time being the first set he has won in a QF. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have the level / produce at the sharp end.

Not sure what 2026 holds in store for Djoko, maybe it will be his last season? But 2025, he reached 4 slam semis, amassing a 20-4 record and 83.3% win/loss.
And he hardly played anywhere else.
He may not be the best now, but by any standards that is good. Andy only bettered that number of slam wins 3 times in his career, as an example.
I know not many around here like Djoko, I dont, but I do say chapeau to that level of performance .
