I didn't watch much of the match - just enough to get a feel for how she was playing. My impression was that her serve was way off, and to some extent that is borne out by the stats. 35 points won on serve, 41 lost. One ace, 5 DF and broken 7 times.
Not sure what has happened to Jodie, just a couple of months ago she took Anisimova to three sets at Queen's and should have beaten Krejcikova at Eastbourne.

Jodie withdrew. Not a surprise as she muttered to her team about "getting the first ticket out of here" or something along those lines when she was a break down in the middle of the second set.

If so, I'm sure Olivia appreciates her commitment

Yes, if so, though muttered comments during her singles disappointment clearly doesn't mean that Jodie did just leave Olivia in the lurch.
