By any chance is Oli's opponent the son of Mary Joe Fernandez? I seem to remember she married someone named Godsick (you don't forget a name like that smile).

It seems that he is.  Doesn't make me any less sick of the sight of his name in UK Futures events!

Seems a bit harsh! hes only ever played last week and this week in British events! Last week he beat a couple of Brits but also lost to a couple (he lost in qualies and got a lucky loser spot); and this week he beat a couple of Brits in qualies but a Frenchman in round one.

its hard not to play Brits when they make up most of the field! And two events in a lifetime is hardly enough to be sick of the guy , whatever his name!

He's certainly making Oli (and us) sick at the moment,  having taken the first set 6-2 bleh

That's quite the win by Patrick. Going to start living up to some folks' expectations? Would be good to see.

Over Luke Simkiss ?

I think Luke might be flattered to think he's an amazing win smile

(But, yes, nice to see Patrick in the quarters - as you say, he's been simmering along in many people's predictions but not quite coming to a boil)

OK, quite the margin of win after beating the 6th seed in R1.

Ok, I take it back - he's becoming a right pain!

Nice to see Henry getting some consistency in results these past two weeks.

Nearly three hours and it's James Story who finally comes out on top, against Charlie Broom
