Some reports infer he has been working with her post Wimbledon on a trial basis. Petchey will continue working with her when time permits. Lets hope it work out for her.

Heather and Jodie's matches have both started.

Jodie lost the first set on a tie break. Saw the last few games and shes serving well. Rest of the game however is very hit and miss

Some confusion between the various websites - I think the scoring link must have gone down. Both the official tournament site and the WTA website are stuck at 1-0 in the tiebreak, whilst Bet365 did initially show Jodie had won it - and then the stream stopped as well. I'm going to change to a different website !

Its been a pretty awful year for Jodie. Hope she now drops a level to get some wins

I wonder when they will make the main draw. Will they have to wait until the finalists at Montreal are known in case they have to leave space for them? That would mean leaving the draw until late afternoon tomorrow the day before play starts. That would be unusually late for a major WTA tournament.

They've done the men's singles draw already (posted on both the ATP and tournament websites). I would expect them to make the women's draw today.
