Despite the strength of the field I'm expecting a landslide for Fran, and rightly so, I'm so chuffed for her. But that means sticking to my usual tactic of giving a nod to someone else and letting others do the work so I'm sticking with my nomination and voting for Jan. GO FRAN!
I'm not convinced it will be a landslide for Fran because there are so many good performances this month. I'm not a fan of Lloyd but even I couldn't argue that winning Wimbledon isn't a massive achievement and worthy of recognition. None the less, I nominated Fran, I think she's amazing and I voted for her. Watching her win last night following on from the Lionesses fantastic result made it a pretty special evening.

It was amazing wasn't it, really good. So many good performances though, Sonay for example, I mean! Cam also, then George, Jack PJ winning challengers for the first time; and Jan winning two - arguably Jan and Fran's achievements were the same, both won challenger equivalents, twice, maybe Jan doesnt have the emotional investment many have got in Fran?! But glad to see he has at least got a vote against his name!
No prizes for quessing who I voted for. Fran has made great progress this month, and so have others, but I voted Katie S. for a W35 title, then making a W75 semi-final, the culmination of a run of 18 wins and 3 defeats, beating the top seed Ponchet [WTA #140], and consequently rising a massive 266 ranking places in this month alone, to re-enter the top 500 and now be able to enter higher quality tournaments. All this without any help from those who give out the grass court WC bonanza.
Given that CashPool are already in the Player of the Season list as GS champions and Fran keeps being nominated I decided to vote for Katie Swan for her dogged determination in fighting her way back from physical and mental problems.
Good to see some votes behind Katie, great to see her doing well!
Mdewey mentioned Cashpool are in Player of the Season; just to say, from this months contenders, Fran (Feb PoM Runner Up), Sonay (April PoM), Oli B (Feb PoM), and Oli T (June PoM) are also in to PoS already!
Quite a high powered group but worth noting if that is one of the criterial someone is considering in their vote!
I've voted for Emma. I think she had made tremendous effort to overcome some health and mental obstacles and has been playing some excellent tennis again.

It came down to a choice between Fran and Emma but after all those years of fighting her way up the rankings and finally achieving her goal, this month I opted for Fran.
21 votes now in - good start for the first 10 hours or so.
And thanks for all those commenting, I am certain (with no evidence) that commenting attracts others to check in the thread and potentially vote at some point.
