Great from Giles! Not far outside live ranked top 300 which is fairly impressive from him!

Not quite that high yet! Showing live 408 on LTR. His CH is 304, maybe you misread it (yes, I rechecked his career high, got told off twice yesterday!biggrin)

great week so far though!

Second best ever win, Atmane at Birmingham was best

click the vRk column and it places them in order low to high.

best off grass for sure.

I've tried Googling it to no avail, but what's the (CO) next to the name of Evo's next opponent in the draw? I know all the usual LL, SE, PR type stuff but not that one...

It is the college entry route, I believe, cant recall what the O stands for, but pretty sure it is an exemption linked to that - he was NCAA champion last November

I posted this on the Chisinau (Challenger 50) thread:

I've just found a more "official"-looking key on Wiki to "CO" & "NG" which confirms what others have already said on this & the Tbilisi Challenger thread, where I first queried them:

- College Accelerator Programme entrant &

- Next Gen Accelerator Programme entrant.

The scheme has the blessing of the ATP & the ITF.  Tbilisi was also a Challenger 50, but Challenger 75s are covered as well.

Zheng is looking dangerously good. He wins 12 of the ffirst 13 points. Dan serves at 0-3

Zheng wins the first set 6-1.  Maybe Dan isn't playing that great, but how can Zheng be ranked just 444?

I am in no way optimistic that Dan can turn this around.

Because as indicated above he's been at college and only played 10 ranking tournaments in the last year with 6 counters.

His highest counter was just last month when he reached a challenger final, beating Liam Draxl WR 146 in the SF.

He has been in college (won the NCAA last November) and only played one or two ranking events prior to end of May this year. Hence the low ranking. Since end of May though he has played only Challenger level events, reaching the final of the Little Rock Challenger along the way and amassing a 9-5 W/L record.

So he is new, learning the pro game and rising steadily it seems
