Jodie breaks, goes up *40-0, then descends into a petulant child, double faults on deuce, nets a forehand to get broken and continues to whine at the umpire.
Misses another break point with a forehand into the net. Gets a second, better margins in this rally, higher, less close to the lines, and is rewarded for her all too rare patient aggression
Well done. Saves a break point and then two good points, again just giving herself more margins while still attacking, waiting an extra ball to pull the trigger. Just such basic adjustments all she needed there with a clear head to turn that round.
Now don't lapse at the start of the third Jodie. Stay focused!
Wastes three game points with unforced errors and goes 1-5* down
Other than a period of about 15minutes in the second set this has been pretty amateurish. Very disappointing - not sure she could have had a better draw as a non-seed. Still only won 9 matches all season, needs to start building some results in these final couple of months with nothing to defend before everything drops off from October onwards.

Can't see Boulter downing Ostapenko (round 2) in the form she's in.
Raducanu gets as good a first two rounds as you can get, but Anisimova in round 3 will be a tough call, but definitely one to prove you're at the level you want to be playing at.
Stearns, match cold due to a bye, will not be relishing an in form Raducanu in round 2.
