A disappointing loss for Mark Ceban against a local wildcard

But Hollie pulls out a clinch win in her R1 match, and Allegra is straight into R2

Hollie now gets the second seed, though

Hollie Smart (GBR) def. Ilary Pistola (ITA) 6-3 2-6 7-5

Allegra Korpanec Davies - BYE

 

R1 Boys:

(wc) Kacper Knitter (POL) def. Mark Ceban (GBR)  6-4 7-5

Hollie follows up her close one with a comfortable victory over the second seed, who is top 50

That's Hollie into the QFs and 100 points (minimum) which will be her biggest counter, her only counter above J200 level

And another super win from Hollie - am hoping she'll be a on a streamed court tomorrow

The semis of a J300 is a BIG deal - and still going

Allegra lost easily though - I only saw about 6 points on the livestream

Yes - and an interesting match-up in the semis

She's playing Giulia Popa who is a very tall girl, about 5 months younger than Hollie

the other two semi-finalists are both 17 

Will be interesting to see where she pitches in

You get your wish - Hollie is second on court 4 tomorrow following a boys semi, No further joy for Mark though.
