I think Fran has achieved one of the aims she set herself some yeas ago to show that anyone can achieve their dreams, even someone disabled. She is an inspiration to disabled children to not give up but to try following their dreams.
Fran has always been a when, not if, for the Top 100, just needed her body to cooperate for long enough! And what a way to do it, congratulations Fran!

She certainly clearly had the ability. But how I have felt for her at times and it was not a when for me. It was a please let it be some day.
I suspect Fran herself though had much more faith that she would get there. And it's brilliant. Onward ...
Yes, I agree with Indiana. Although Fran might have the capability to be top 100 her health made the probabily questionable. Her body had broken down during matches. However she seems to be getting stronger and showing her ability. Long may it continue.
Watched most of the match and I thought Fran played very well, and probably well within herself too. I think she can play far better on a great day, but she didnt need to, and what she put out there was more than enough to win easily. Fantastic player, and no more than she deserves, having come back from so many physical set backs recently. I hope she gets a good rest, and makes a real go of the hard courts now, even though her first love will almost certainly be the Clay. By the way, those Sicilians were the best dressed spectactors Ive ever seen for a challenger tournament - so cool!
