Latest live rankings :

230. Crawford 244 points
235. Monday 242 points
241. Peniston 232 points

254. Loffhagen 208 points ( could go #236 on 239 points if he wins the title ).

They could yet be knocked down a couple of places by other players still competing this week who could exceed 244 points.

Reminder: the last US Open qualifying acceptance last year was ranked 230. Wouldn't mind that dropping half a dozen or so places this year.

There's a few above them dropping back too.

Arent those already taken account of in the live rankings though?

Yes, all points drops this week are already taken care of in the live rankings.

Our players can only now be effected by these 2 players still in action this week that could still exceed 244 points.

So Oliver, JoMo and Ryan can't go any higher for the USO qualifying list but could go very slightly lower.

Ultra close and George saved a SP but finally he took the first set TB, much to the other guy's disgust

And the second set was just as close - and, after a rather lucky point at 4-4 in the TB, the Spanish guy took advantage and took the second set TB

So we keep going .....

George is the :

Final:   George Loffhagen WR 292 defeated Nicolás Alvarez (ESP) WR 298 by 7-6(4) 6-7(4) 6-4

George inspired by the Lionesses?  I'd like to think so!  smile

What a way to serve it out

Two first serve winners

Two very good first serves - even if he then got a bit over-excited when they managed to come back, and he then made an error

Two more very good first serves - where he DIDN'T get over-excited and finished it in two shots, not one

So confident in his serve

Really excellent week, little fave - just awesome - and hopefully the start of more to come
